John Robert Hammerer has been fascinated by films and filmmaking ever since wearing out a VHS tape of "Fantasia" while under the influence of chickenpox. He pursued this passion at Emerson College and New York University, ultimately receiving a B.F.A. in Film/Television from the latter. He has directed four short films, edited film, television, and web content, and worked as an assistant editor and dailies technician for clients such as HBO, CBS, and Netflix. When not at work, he can be found somewhere in New York City reading, listening to music, or taking long walks.
